POLICIES & PROCEDURES

UPDATED
9/1/2022

Before you schedule an appointment, there are a few things you'll need to know. These terms are subject to change at any time, with or without notice, so be sure to familiarize yourself with them often. It may be an adjustment from your past salon experiences, so my aim is to make your adjustment smooth by laying out the terms up front. Feel free to ask for clarification.

BOOKING

At The Mane Coalition, scheduling is by appointment only. There will be no walk-in availability, ever. You must use our online system, which is fully-automated to meet your needs. The calendar is updated in real-time and any availability that I have will show up. If you don't see it, it's not available. If it becomes available, it will show immediately. Keep checking the calendar or avoid that anxiety all together by pre-booking multiple appointments in advance to be sure that you get the days that you want.

You are required to place a debit/credit card on hold to book an appointment. You will NOT be charged unless you violate the Cancellation Policy (which can be reviewed before you enter your card information). View the "more info" link next to any service to see what's included, as well as any additional instructions. To avoid any confusion, use the notes area on the last page of booking to clarify your request. It is possible that there may not be enough time for your service on the day that you select, which may result in a denial of that time slot. Once your request has been reviewed, you will receive notification of any adjustments AND a confirmation when your appointment is accepted. Please monitor your e-mail and text messages for any correspondence from THE MANE COALITION.

DEPOSITS

If you are scheduling for chemical services or hair extension services, these services require a deposit before the appointment is confirmed. A link for that deposit will be sent to you by e-mail and/or text. Once your invoice is paid, your confirmation (including final appointment details) will be e-mailed to you. If the deposit is not paid by the due date, your appointment request will be declined and your time slot will be released.

PAYMENT

The following major credit cards are accepted: VISA, AMEX, MASTERCARD, & DISCOVER.

Electronic payment is preferred.

NO cash drawer is kept in the salon.

NO CHECKS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Payment for services will be made BEFORE your service begins.

When your service is complete, you're free to go and your stylist has adequate time to sanitize & prepare for the next client.

NO-CALL-NO-SHOWS, CHRONIC CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

Because The Mane Coalition does not have set business hours & offers flexible availability on the days it's open,

you're required to give advanced notice of ANY changes to your confirmed appointment. If you're not going to make it to your appointment, you'll need to cancel or reschedule according to the cancellation/rescheduling policy in effect at the time of booking. You are NOT required to give a reason or an explanation. If you do not make contact in a timely manner, you may be charged 50-100% of the amount of your planned service. If you repeatedly cancel/reschedule, you will be denied booking in the future.

RUNNING LATE / ARRIVING EARLY

If you think you may arrive late, contact the salon before your appointment is set to begin AND before you make the drive over.

It is possible that you could still be serviced, however a late fee will be charged if you are more than 15 minutes late.

Exception: Weather Conditions requiring school/business closings

If the stylist is running behind and your appointment is expected to be delayed more than 15 minutes,

you will be notified & will have the option to reschedule (no penalty).*

If you arrive before your appointment is supposed to start, please remain in your vehicle and send a text to let me know that you've arrived.

I will let you know when to head inside.

DE-TANGLING + LENGTH, DENSITY, & PRODUCT CHARGE

All services are subject to a length/density/product charge, at the discretion of the stylist.

Keep in mind that more hair, longer hair, and thicker hair all require more time & more product.

Always arrive with fully de-tangled hair, as this is not included in the time allocation for any service.

CHEMICAL SERVICES

It is imperative that you give an accurate account of your chemical history.

Your stylist will not judge you. It's a matter of safety.

Your stylist has the right to refuse any chemical service that she deems unsafe or too damaging for your hair.

No color or chemical texture service will be performed on anyone under the age of 16.

Anyone 16-17 years of age must have a parent present & parent must provide written consent.

BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS/VIDEO

The salon focuses heavily on helping you achieve your healthy hair goals.

At each appointment, your service/progress will be photo-documented. So, show up photo-ready!

The Mane Coalition reserves the right to use your before & after photos/video on it's website, as print media, and on it's social media platforms for the promotional purposes of the salon. Please view the portfolio to get an idea of the types of photos that will be taken.

CHILDREN / TAG-ALONG GUESTS

In the salon, safety is of the utmost importance.

Only the person being serviced will be allowed inside of the studio during appointments.

The space is small & intimate, and there is no additional seating.

Any accompanying guests must wait in their vehicle OR request an estimated completion time for pick-up.

FOOD & DRINK

The salon is state regulated and inspected, without notice.

Service area must be kept sanitary and relatively odor-free, so NO eating during your service.

No food or drink will be disposed of in the studio trash bins.

Please eat before you arrive & dispose of trash in the appropriate receptacle.

PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT

The Mane Coalition is a professional place of business and will be conducted as such.

All guests will be respected and treated accordingly. Your stylist requires the same respect in return.

Any guest that disrupts the peaceful & professional environment of the salon will be asked to leave immediately.

THANK YOU

Remember, your stylist wears many hats & is responsible for every aspect of this salon.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and for understanding that these policies & procedures are put in place to help the salon run smoothly.

Ultimately, they allow for your stylist to concentrate solely on being your stylist & giving you the best service possible when you're in her chair.
